Kids' Curia
There are two (obvious) playparks in Curia. Our favourite, pictured above, is nestled in the Termas park and gardens. It's basic and not exactly state-of-the-art, but it's safe enough and close to the wonderful Bijou cafe - just over the bridge, where you'll see huge koi carp as you cross what's claimed to be one of the largest man-made lakes of the Iberian peninsula.
The Termas gardens will ask a small high-season entrance fee (one euro) for adults, though children are free. Regular visitors, like us, can buy a season ticket, valid till 31st December, for just five euros - an absolute bargain.
The gardens are also home to the legendary and rent-able pedalo boats, as well as the historic spa buildings that often host art exhibitions and, of a summer evening, are a stunning backdrop to (usually) free music concerts.
